I've woken Up, Now that September has Ended... almost!

I’ve awoken back to blogging! And to a new follower! Yay! I felt sort of empty (call me sad, whatever! ) not blogging everyday! Its' the last day in September 2011 today. Wh.. wha.. what?! Oh man, this year has flown by. It's actually ridiculous how quickly this year is going. And I do not like it! It only means that the three years Gavin and I gave ourselves to find careers, get a deposit together and actually get a house, and then get married, is going to come around a lot quicker than we imagined. This actually gives us less time to go it all in! I’ve started getting steam from my ears and pulling my hair out! Oh, I do need to get my hair cut actually; it’s been a while since I’ve had anything done to it!
Anyway, because the year is going past so quickly, I feel like I should actually get my act together, and complete some of the easier tasks on my day zero project, read some more books, take more pictures and sort my life out!
But first, a little chip tip. A few of you may already know this, as it is pretty basic, but I was really proud of myself last night when I discovered it! Halfway through cooking your chips, add some paprika and salt. Toss them around a bit, and then carry on cooking them. About 5 minutes before they are taken out, sprinkle a little more paprika and salt on them. When they are finished, take them out, leave them to cool a little, and serve as a side with whatever, or, as I did last night, eat them on their own with Nando’s amazing Perinaise sauce.

It is actually an incredible sauce!
So, to make chips a little tastier, add some paprika and salt. Voila!
I have also been eating for lunch a lovely little Dolmio pasta and sauce lunch pot. It is a really good idea, but, as a colleague pointed out, I could get a whole week’s worth of pasta and sauce for the same price as one of those pots. It is quite expensive for just one little pot, but it is a good idea if you’re lunching on the go!

Right, anyway, I’m going to go and get on with completing some of my day zero project, I shall record my progress on here!
TTFN!

Agh, It Burns!

I fee like I'm coming out of a very dark room, into the bright, bright sunshine. It hurts my eyes!
I haven’t done a proper post for a while. To be honest, I haven’t really had the motivation; not only for writing, but for doing anything. I went out for a friend’s leaving drink on Friday, and then her party was the next day. I only stayed for about 4 hours, apart from being tired and slightly hangover from the night before, I just had no motivation. I wanted to just get into my bed and sleep! I haven’t even been able to start the day zero project.
I think I’ve hit a point where I just think “why bother”. Over the last week or so, I’ve had near opportunities and setbacks. These setbacks are so dis-heartening. I used to be able to get back on my horse. But lately, I want to give up. I keep thinking over and over again what’s the point of having a degree, what’s the point in being “intelligent” when it gets you –nowhere-.  I hate being where I am, I hate being spoken to like a fricking 5 year old, I hate doing everything, while some people just sit and do nothing. I don’t understand. I get so frustrated. I don’t know, maybe I am destined to be stuck in this place for the rest of my life. Clearly no-body else wants me, so why bother.

So anyway, that’s the sort of mood I have been in lately. I had a major setback after being told that I had a pretty good chance, and it’s extremely hard to come back from that. I guess that’s why I didn’t post on here for a while, because it would have only been whiney and “moaney”, and it would have depressed me even more writing down the realities of it all!
But, I think tonight I will manage to get back up onto the horse, and start again. I’ve got a few tips from the girls at work, so hopefully when I put those into action, it will have a positive effect!

I think I will also be able to start my day zero project tonight. I probably should have done it earlier to take my mind off things that are going on. I will write more posts on my progress!

There you are. Not a very exciting post, I promise to make them more exiting! I just wanted to show through a tiny window of what I (and probably hundreds more of you) am going through, trying to carve a path out for ourselves in life. It’s bloody tough.

7 Random Things About Me!

I've been a bit quiet on here lately, sorry! Things have been going on, things that I'll be able to tell all about it in my next post.
Anyway, I have been given an award, so I'll pipe up for this one!

The Rules:

Thank and link the person who awarded you

So, thank you to my dear friend Kate on  http://kate-howard.blogspot.com
for this award. It got me writing again! (More on that in another post!)

Here are the 7 things:
1.        I am 5ft tall. My fiancé says I am 5ft 1”, but I don’t think that is correct. Basically, I’m small.

2.       I have been with my fiancé for over 6 ½ years, since school. Yea. We rock!

3.       I love, bloody –love-cookies. I could live on them!

4.       I like to collect notebooks. I haven’t written in many of them. I just enjoy collecting unusual ones (although, my obsession has diminished lately!)

5.       I have a 2.1 degree in psychology. Yup. Wouldn’t think it! I’m sort of clever!

6.       My favourite animal is probably a jaguar, or a cheetah...or a leopard!
