Fly By Weekend!

I know it's the end of the weekend when I wash my hair on a Sunday. It's an age old ritual practised by myself since I was most probably born. Every Sunday, I wash my hair. I'm pretty sure most people do the same on a Sunday. But when I wash it during the day, I get that feeling that I know the weekend is going to end soon. Crazy, I know, but hey, that's me!
My normal washing of the hair routine was slightly different today, as I bought Herbal Essences new Tousle me Softly hair serum, and thought I should try it out.
It's apparently some new thing that helps define naturally wavy hair (ala me). So after washing it with Sheer Blonde, spraying in the leave in conditioner, and the sheer blonde go blonder mist, I very roughly dried it so my hair was more damp than wet, and added in the serum. And dried while continuing to tousle. The result? Amazing! It's going to need some getting used to, coz it's pretty big! But I love it, I love how I can just blow dry it and leave it, rather than spending another 20mins straightening my hair.

You can't really see the real tousled bits, they're underneath and on the back of the hair, but it's certainly got more body than usual!

As well as washing my hair (how fun...!) my fiancĂ© and I went to one of our local country parks for a winter walk. I love walking around woods and forests, nature is definitely the best place to spend a Sunday afternoon!

So that's my weekend, gone, and ready for another week.
One week down, 3 more to go.
The countdown begins until my life changes.
Paris. New job. New journey.
And then all that's in between: work leaving do, wedding show, Snow Patrol gig, valentine's day.
Phew, February is going to be a busy month!

Friiiidaaay!

Happy Friday!
Do you know how good it feels knowing that in a little over 3 weeks time...I will be in a totally different job, a job that is going to be varied and very challenging? It feels fabulous!
I am so excited! I am so happy! I’m not so psyched about having to get up at 6:15 and leave at 6:50 in the mornings.... but it will hopefully be well worth the journey!
The other half is (hopefully) going to buy me a flask so I can take a coffee with me on the way to work in the mornings, while I listen to my music and read my book!  The commute is not a bad one, one bus, one train. It takes roughly an hour door to door on a good day. I feel like I’ve been given the power of time, time to listen to my music and read my books!  I can’t wait to read them on a more regular basis. At the moment, my reading collection has doubled, but I have been sporadically reading a new book my lover bought me. I’m hooked already, and I’ve only read 37 pages! I haven’t been able to go back to it due to lack of time, and tiredness. So the commute will help me get through the pile!
So, what’s happened in my life so far?
Not a lot, just the whole new job thing hehe!
My fiancé bought me some flowers, they are beautiful as you can see..

My parents took us out for a celebratory meal....

Oh, And we’ve been invited to a wedding in March, Gav’s got his suit and looks so dreamily handsome in it, and I’m literally on a mission impossible to find a dress that will match either his lovely grey blue tie, or his dark grey suit. We went through the local shopping centre with a fine-toothed comb, to no avail. We’re going to the next localish one tomorrow to have a rummage. I’ve seen a couple online that look lovely, but I’m a bit sceptic ordering dresses from online, the colour may be different, it might look hideous and it’s a pain in the arse to send back!
I’ll shout from the rooftops when I find one, because dress shopping is the bain of my life!

Still haven’t got any more followers! Come on guys and girls, follow me! I want to give away these notebooks to 3 lucky people!

Manic!

Not the Street Preachers (haha...)
But life has been manic! Hence, why, again, I've been a little absent on here=[

I do have some really really really really good news..... I have a new job!
It's working for Stagecoach, and I shall be a Senior Recruitment Clerk. Finally, I will be somewhere I want to be, I will be in a job that has responsibility, and that is relevant to my degree! I am so happy!
So I gave in my notice at my current workplace. Let me tell you, that was the most terrifying thing I've had to do, possibly more terrifying than interviews! It felt so good afterwards. I am waking up now feeling so good, knowing that I only have 4 weeks left of here, then I'll be leaving. Going to Paris for the weekend, coming home, and starting my job!

It feels like at last, things are finally falling into place. Now I need to get the other half up to scratch =P
That's my little update post!

Paris 2012!

It’s done!
We have booked a long weekend away to Paris!
Me and my two best friends (I cringe saying that sometimes, feels childish...but that’s what they are, my “best” friends) will be going to Paris in February!
I cannot wait.
It’s a well deserved break away, and I couldn’t be going with any better girls!

Next on my list to book is Rome with my lovely fiancĂ©, it’s so easy to do, I want to book it now!
Talking of which, he is so amazing. I rarely post about him, but I was thinking lately, that he is actually quite a guy. He takes a lot of shit from me, and I think I really take him for granted. He is being so kind and cool about this weekend away, I know full well if it was the other way around, I would be a real arse about it. I don’t know why. I’m just a proper bitch sometimes. I hate how much I am one. Anyway, yes, he is amazing. I may dedicate a post to him, just as thanks for putting up with me for so long!
I’m thinking about getting a couple of little black books... the one about Paris and Rome, and maybe London, just to add to the collection. The black book is titled “The little black book of Paris”.
One of the girls I’m going with mentioned it, and says that it is a great book with places that people tend to miss in these cities. Not too expensive, average of around £8, I may buy a few when I get paid!
Anyway, I’m just rambling now because I am so excited!

Sides

There is a side to me that wants to go WILD.
I want to travel around Europe.
Alone.
Meet awesome people.
Go crazy with those people.
Just not give a shit.
About anything.
Do what I want.
When I want.
How I want.
With whoever I want.
It would be just amazing to just pause one life, and jump over to another.
I might try and do that.
Invent a remote control that let's you find a parrell universe, pause your current life, and then jump into the next.

Ahhh.

See, every now and again I get these urges to just jump ship, get on a plane, and just.. live!
Going to Paris with the girls in February.

Maybe I could drag them into some "underground" club.

hmmm......

Handbags

My most recent purchase is a handbag. Another one.
For those of you that don't know, handbags have been a massive "thing" of mine since secondary school (age 11) !
I have had so many in the past, that I did have to throw some away =[ .
But, I am re-building my collection. Mainly with the most gorgeous bags ever - Betsey Johnson Bags.
They are incredible. I love my handbags, and I do have two favourites. A leopard print one that does feature somewhere on my blog, and a skull and roses one.
But, I did something a bit naughty, and felt a little guilty doing.
I didn't even mean to do it!
It started off so innocent!

I signed up to stylistpick.com, a new website which, after completing a questionnaire, builds a personal showroom for you and sends it to you everything (via email!).
It's amaaaazing!
Anyway, I was allowed to choose something as my first purchase, and because it was, I received 25% off!

So... I saw this lovely bag, and I had to have it. I ummmed and ahhhed, I was a little hesitant, because, as nice as it is, it's really no match for my Betsey Johnson bags. In then decided to go for it, because £29.95 is pretty darn good for a bag (way cheaper than what I spend on BJ bags).

It came yesterday, and the way it was sent to me was so cute!

It came in a box, and inside was the black bag you see above. Inside, wrapped in tissue paper (I think!) was the gorgeous little (but not too little!) black handbag. What was even cuter, was they sent me a free necklace as a gift for saying thank you for ordering from Sylist Pick!

It's a great site, and I recommend anyone to go and pay it a visit!

A place for thoughts, photos, and just general rubbish

Heeey Guys,
I have a tumblr!

It's just going to be my "scrapbook" of me, videos, songs that I like, photos I've taken, photos I like, blogs etc.

Don't worry, I will most certainly not neglect this blog. This is my "notebook" where I think, write, etc.

So, go go go! See my scraps!

Wish I was RICH!

I really do. I spend so much money in my head.
I've dangerously been reading (hooked on, really) a fashion blog, and, although she is an editor of a magazine and works as a designer for H&M, she wears amazing stuff. Dangerous, why? Because she wears Prada, Acne, etc. Designer stuff.
Now, I can find far far cheaper alternatives, and the high street (Topshop, River Island etc) is great.
But there's this leather jacket I reeeeally want.... it's about £300...  this is it .
Ahhhhh purrrty!
But, I really would rather pay for....oh I don't know... a trip to Paris with my two best girl-friends ;-] (or maybe even less!) with that sort of money!
But I have found one on Amazon, a Barney's jacket. Its waaay cheaper... well, it's still £99, but I did pay £150 for my other actual leather jacket ... so £99 is ok compared to that...
But I'm not sure about it...it looks very similar to a smaller...more cropped PVC jacket I have... and I don't really want to pay £99 for a PVC looking leather jacket!

What do you think?
Ahh I'm addicted to clothes =[ !

Re-Invention

I'm doing well so far.
I'm on the very slow and steady train to re-inventing myself.
Sounds stupid, yes I know, but I fancied a change.

Detox hasn't started yet - not sure if I should gradually ease myself into not drinking caffinated drinks - juices, smoothies, herbal tea and water only - or go cold turkey. I'm still working that one out!
Diet is getting better.

My self is getting better - I'm not so needy, last night I actually managed not to give a shit whether I saw the other half or not. Today I didn't have that stupid clingy, missing feeling that I so often I have. It's good for me, and him - as we can both get on with ourselves.
I am also going to buy one of these Philips Wake up Lights. I do have £35 of vouchers to put towards it, so it will only be £50. In theory, I guess it will work, and reviews are smashing, but I want to know if anyone actually has one of these, and uses one? And does it work?
I'm hoping it does, it will just be another step into a more improved, happier, energetic me!

My style - oh man, there are 3 pairs of shoes that I want so that I can wear them in spring/summer and a pair of jeans that I neeed!

I've been reading Elin Kling's blog here, and I love her style. So effortless. It's mainly jeans, t-shirt and gorgeous footwear, shoes or boots. I want to start wearing heels now. Because I live in jeans, the heels will make it way more feminine. The red shoes were an idea from Lauren Conrad's blog here, and I just think dark red with black or dark jeans is such a great look!
Problem is...these shoes are so hard to find anywhere! I have gone through all the high street stores online, and all I can  find is stupid platform heels. There are too many of those darn shoes. The images are just from google, and all link to American sites *sad face* .

So, I may have to drag the other half to my nearest big shopping mall on Saturday in search for these shoes! Let me know if any of you find them, I will be eternally grateful!

Happy New Year!

So, a day late, but better late than never huh?! To be honest, me and the other spent all of new year's day in bed, watching films, eating, sleeping etc. And after getting in at 5am from a NYE party, I'd say it was well deserved! Besides, we have today to not waste as such. Which gives yesterday another reason to have spent it as we did...(it makes no sense, but you get the gist!)

So, it is January 2nd, 2012. What are my new year's resolutions. Well, discussing these with the family, I discovered that I had more of a "to-do" list than a new years resolution list. So, I guess my main new year's resolution is to

Become a very healthy person.

I aim to achieve this by the end of this year, by walking to work instead of driving (it is only 10 minutes away!), going to the gym at least twice a week, eating more fruit and veg, and eat less crap!

My "to-do" list is this:

1. Get a better job
2. Save up at least £10,000 for a deposit for a house
3. Spend more time reading, blogging, scrapbooking, diary writing.
4. Give the fiancĂ© the space he needs to complete his theory test and ICT  course.
5. Spend less time on Facebook!
6. Go on lots of little holidays.

I was going to add "buy less clothes", but, I really can't make that a promise to myself. Clothes is just what I love to buy. People may not know this about me, but I think really hard about my image, and what I wear, how I wear it, etc. I find it so important to wear what is me - well, the two sides of me at least (the "rock chick" look and the "comfortable, girl-next-door look).

So that's it. I am hopefully going to make 2012 a year in which everything is going to happen, or at least, make it so that I am halfway to where I want life to be. This is going to be the year I get into first and second gear, really getting the gears going round, so that by the end of the year and into next year, we can slow down, and sort of cruise along in 3rd and 4th gears.
It seems like a huge task, but I think, if I get on it soon enough, I can achieve this goal!
